Let's design something for you!

This sure has been a fantastic year at Yuma Couture Cakes, and we've met a lot of creative clients, and created some spectacular cakes. That said, I'd like to focus your attention to a service that we offer, that isn't being taken advantage of as much as we'd like to see. Requests for truly custom cakes. We get requests for cakes daily, and more often than not they are requests to duplicate a design, a popular design. That's great, and we can totally do it, but we offer the service of creating something new and unique as well. We prefer it actually.

We have links to other cake sites for a reason of course, and that's for inspiration. A bow from one cake, a lace pattern from another. Colors from two totally different cakes. Let's also add a fabric swatch from your dress that has an interesting texture, or the jewelry you will be wearing when you get married. What about that fabulous design on your wedding invitations? Put ideas like all of those together, and Jamie can come come up with a brand new design no one has ever seen before. Something just for you, and something that will turn heads at your reception.

Think about it for a moment. Those really interesting and unusual cakes you see online and in the magazines? Those were created for one person, for one special day, most likely from combining elements the bride wanted to incorporate into her design and ideas suggested by her cake designer to tie it all together for one truly couture cake.

We don't charge more because you want us to create something like this for you, all cakes are priced according to serving amounts and the amount of labor involved, regardless if it's copying an existing cake or a brand new design that we come up with.

I can't believe I haven't added a link to her blog until now, because it shoulda been there a long time ago. Shame on me! Kara is full of great information for brides and wedding professionals, and she always manages to 'bring the funny'! What's new with us?

I'm sure this isn't news to you, as you were probably directed here from my website, but I have a brand new website!! I'm so happy with the layout and easy navigation, and simple editing platform. It's just perfect! I've added a handy 'Contact Us' section that gives you the ability to send an email straight from that page, instead of copying and pasting an address and returning to your own browser to send the request. Loving that feature, I tell ya. So take a look around and enjoy the new layout. Oh yeah! Almost forgot: I participated in a feature article due to run soon in American Cake Decorating magazine, and will have a photograph of some of my sugar art published in a later edition. Cool huh? Well, off to go finish up some gumpaste lettering and bows for a Quinceanera cake Saturday. It will be very elegant and I know you will like it!
